Piano  Studio

Loree offers beginner to advanced private piano instruction. Her specialty is teaching beginners to introduce solid fundamentals of the music language. Through her education, training & experience, she utilizes a variety of tools & teaching methods in her lesson plans. She guides her students through the process of understanding musical notation, rhythm, technique & sight-reading as her basis of piano instruction.

Whether teaching children or adults, Loree believes that learning (how to play the piano) should be fun to sustain interest & longevity. Loree strives to focus on:

  • Building a fun & trusting relationship between herself and her student to promote confidence & support.
  • Emphasizing how music reading is important in learning piano or any other instrument (including the voice).
  • Encouraging students to use their developing music skills for improvisation and music composition.

Her students have the opportunity to learn & play all types of music including songs of their choice. She also offers the opportunity to participate in 2 recitals per year. Click below to find out when recitals are.

" For 5 years, Loree nurtured my budding musicality. She is a genial soul who does an admirable job of tailoring her teaching style to each student's temperament & capabilities. Leaving Loree was one of the saddest parts of moving from California. "
 -Kathi Allphin, Student from 2002 - 2007

" I have known Loree since I was 4 years old, and have taken both voice & piano lessons. Loree has been a wonderful mentor to me throughout the years in helping build my confidence as well as my skills. Her work with me is a large part of the reason for my success. "
-Kayla Elwy, Student since 2005

" In the minutes before & after my lessons, I have listened as Loree adjusts her teaching techniques for each individual student with ease & insight. No matter the student’s strengths or fears, in her studio’s relaxed but effective atmosphere people sing, laugh, sing, play & learn music in ways they had not foreseen. "
-John Marvin of Clayton, Student since 2010

" Loree, you're the best! Could not have done it without you. "
-Nicci Nix of Pleasant Hill, Student from 2000 (Making The Band 3-Season 2 & American Idol Season 9-Top 40)

" Loree is exceptional & is hands down one of the best vocal coaches out there. I would not be at the level I am working in Broadway shows without her past vocal guidance. "
-Alli McGinnis, WICKED 1st National Tour, Student from 1995 - 2009

" Loree was more than just a great voice teacher; she was my friend & confidant. She helped coach me through my voice change & build a great audition book . She really gave me the confidence to pursue my dreams & had great advice about Show business! "
-Tracy McDowell, New York City, Student from 1996 - 2004 (Broadway credits: Rent, MOTOWN )

" Loree is fantastic. She is one of the most generous, talented, positive, & incredible teachers I have ever had. She works so hard for her students & always goes above and beyond.
