Teaching Philosophy
" I believe developing the skills to express yourself through music is valuable to every person. Not only do you learn the basics of music, but self discipline, self confidence, deferred gratification, along with creativity & self expression. My goal is to make each lesson educational as well as enjoyable, allowing each student, whether beginner or advanced to develop your talent & enrich your life with music. "

what students are saying about loree
" Loree Capper is one of the most well-rounded, well-educated & well-liked vocal teachers in the Bay Area. She has gone out of her way to make sure I receive the best vocal training, including last minute lessons for college auditions & extensive talks about my future & technique. I would not be where I am today without Loree's help. "
-Derek Miller, Student from 2009 -2013
" Loree is just a terrific teacher. She is patient, knowledgeable, & encouraging & it has been a joy to learn from her & to see my singing ability improve significantly. From ear training to vocal technique, Loree is an absolute expert in her field & very effective at explaining & demonstrating key concepts. I went from not being able to carry a tune in a bucket to fronting my own rock-n-roll band!! We're called PUSH. Check us out at rockwithpush.com. "
-Dan Ashley of San Francisco Bay Area, Student since 2010
" I was referred to Loree by a friend, who was very happy with what Loree had done for her. At my first lesson I knew I’d made a good choice. In a few short months I’ve accomplished more than I ever imagined possible – a high B flat – and I’m not done yet! Loree is incredibly practical & result oriented. She is fun, flexible, & reasonably priced. "
-Emily M. De Falla of Danville, Student since 2013
" Loree Capper has taught voice lessons to all 4 of my kids. She coached my three boys through musical theater, now high school chorus. She currently teaches both voice & piano to my youngest daughter. I can’t say enough about Loree & her ability to teach, inspire confidence, encourage, & most of all – develop in her students a life long passion for music. What a gift! "
-Karen Watson of Orinda, Parent of Students since 1999

" Loree has a lovely personality & her studio is very conducive to learning. Above all, she really encourages her students to pursue their dreams & goals, whether they already have professional careers on Broadway or in Opera, or whether they just enjoy singing, or like me, a retired actuary, who wishes to be an occasional entertainer! "
-Bob Chen of Walnut Creek, Student since 1999
